E-Cigz Tips

Starter Kits

- The first thing to do is recharge your Ecig battery. Although it may contain some power it is best practice to give it a full eight hour charge before use to ensure a longer battery life.
- After the first charge you can do this once a day for approximately one hour.
- The next step is to connect the atomizer and cartridge so your Ecig is ready to use - the diagram below explains the separate parts.

E-Cig Use

- Inhaling Ecig vapour is slightly different to normal cigarettes. For best results take a longer lighter controlled "drag" on the ecig perhaps for a duration of five seconds.
- Inhaling too quickly may give a less satisfying result and tickle the back of your throat.
- For Ecig models with a push button you can prime the chamber for a few seconds before inhaling. This produces more vapour and a satisfying "throat hit".

Refilling Cartridges

- Although your Ecig cartridges come prefilled, it is important to know at what point they need to be topped up.
- Generally speaking, when the thickness of the vapour decreases and the taste starts to dissappear this is the time for a top up.
- This is also symptomatic of the battery getting low, as the batteries charge drops off vapour production will decrease a little.
- To refill your cartridge, gently add a drop at a time, waiting between each drop. You can add between 5-8 drops on a DSE 510 cartridge for example.
- This is something you get a knack for with practice. Cartridges can be refilled several times before disposal. Disposal is recommended eventually for hygiene purposes.
- There is no reason why you cant change from flavour to flavour and this is an advantage of using carts. You can even mix to make a blend, e.g. Marlobo + Menthol.

Cartomizers

- Cartomizers are a new innovation. They are an atomizer and cartidge in one with several advantages:

  • Can hold up to 30 drops of E-Liquid
  • Produce a larger amount of vapour
  • Produce a bigger throat hit and better nicotene delivery

- Their disadvantage is that their lifespan is shorter and there is less ability to change the flavour as the wicking material holds more liquid.
- They are also trickier to refill. We have created the guide below to help you with this.
-We sell the 510 cartomizers. Only the blank cartomizers can be refilled easily using several different methods however we recommend the "pop-a-top" technique.
-This is especially true for automatic batteries as any excess liquid that seeps out through the battery connection will quickly find its way into your battery switch and ruin it permanently.

-This method involves popping the white end cap out of the cartomizer and refilling it directly into the wicking material. To remove the cap insert a hard steel object like a small screwdriver head into the hole (see photo above). Work the tool in a circular motion while prying up. This will break the glue loose. Once loose just remove the cap and set aside. If you happen to break the end cap, don't dispair. You can still use the cartomizer without the cap and for some people this is easier because you can easily "top off" the cartomizer with more liquid if needed. On some cartomizers there is also a rubber washer beneath the cap. Remove this by gently prying out and also set aside.

-Now what you will see is the wicking material and a wire (just above the hole in the center) which attaches to the atomizer coil inside the cartridge (see photo above). Inspect the wicking material and if it looks dirty or burnt, discard the cartomizer and use another one.

-The best way to fully fill this cartridge is to place the tip of your e-Liquid dropper tip on the side of the cartomizer and let it flow down the inside of the cartridge body and into the wick. Concentrate it to one area until you see the wick material become saturated all around. If you fill all over the top then you may trap air beneath the top and the cartridge won't fill completely. If you overfill the cartomizer, simply place the open end into a papertowel and blow as hard as you can through the battery connection end.
